The one services that threatens to change gaming as we know it, starts it fight with Mafia II. Onlive is showing their commitment to being the gaming platform of the feature by offering Mafia II to gamers first. While most of you will be at your local retailer purchasing the game, you likely won't put it into you system until about 12:30, however, Onlive customers will be playing at 12:01. Not a Big deal, ture it's not. on the other hand, OnLive is also taking it a step further by throwing in another game of your choice, for free.

Given that the choices aren't many, it's not as sweet of a deal as it could be, but still pretty good. The real story here is that when OnLive was first revealed most of the complaints centered around the services selections of games. At the time all of the games shown were consider old games, and had been released months priror. Now those complaints are fading away with a Triple-A release like Mafia II being release right along side the retail version.
My prediction, it wont be long before we gamers get even lazier, and deiced we don't want to walk to the store at midnight, we'll just power up OnLive, and start playing at 12.01am. The future is coming faster than we think. Here's the official offer from OnLive.
