If you haven’t been keeping up with Battlefield 3’s DLC, the first pack titled ‘Close Quarters’ releases in June. EA has been very clear that the DLC being released for Battlefield 3 is not a 'Map Pack', but are Expansions Packs; as their updates usually offer much more than just a few new maps to play on. Today, they dropped some new screens for the Expansion Pack, along with a reveal trailer. Though only maps have been described, something new to the game, EA calls Weapons & Persistence, is coming in this pack. It’s not completely known what Weapons & Persistence is, but it’s thought to introduce a series of new weapon assignments. The trailer reveals four new maps, a series of new weapons, and a claustrophobic level design. Players will find most of their battles taking place indoors with the Close Quarters update. Lovers of the melee who have a quick trigger-finger should thrive in these new maps. The one thing the trailer reveals is exclusive early access to the 'Close Quarters' DLC, for PS3 fans.
