As we all await the battle for top shooter to begin, EA drop a boom shell today announcing the Battlefield 3 Multiplyer beta's launch on September 29, and confirming rumors of PS3 exclusive DLC.

The beta will take place on the Operation Metro map, which we played at E3 2011(it's Pretty Awesome) EA also revealed that the Battlefield 3: Back To Kirkland DLC will be appearing one week early on PS3.

With Activision's continued support of Modern Warfare on the 360, which usually includes time exclusive DLC and visual improvements that benefit Microsoft console( which I don't personally mind)

EA seems to be making this a war of console vs console, shooter vs shooter. Where ever this war takes us, Battlefield 3 is sure to be awesome on what ever console you choose. However, it does seem like EA is showing some real support for the PS3. You can get the full story right here to see all  of what Dice revealed.
