Earlier this week we detailed Vector Cell's plans for the release of AMY, the great looking digital horror adventure coming to the Playstation Network & Xbox Live Arcade. Today the official verdict on the games PSN release has been given, and has Amy getting delayed on the PSN for one week. The news, though expected, may be having a negative effect on AMY's 360 release.

After finding out about the games higher price on the PSN, and now that the game is being delayed for Playstation fans, both gamers and critics have expressed some reviews that seem to be slightly more critical than normal.

It’s entirely possible that the game is every bit of the gem that Vector Cell is claiming it is, but once you've burn the community, you run the risk of it burn you back. Though its hard to tell if Amy is deserving of the mediocre reviews without playing it yourself, in most cases the reviews are a stark contrast to the previews the game has received prior to its release.

In hindsight,  it seems as if things would have been better if Vector Cell had taken the risk of making the game the same price, and releasing it on same day, across all platforms. The controversy surrounding what looks like a great game, may turn would be fans away making them unwilling to take the risk of purchasing the game. Amy is also now available on the PlayStation™ Network in Europe for €9.99, in the UK for £7.99, in Australia for AUD 15.95 and in New Zealand for NZD 18.90. AMY will be available on the PlayStation™ Network in the US on January 17th, 2012 for $9.99.
